记得在RH9的时候，直接点击安装VM工具就可以在里面找到的了。

这是第一次安装FC5，有点不同。点击安装后，我没有找到安装包。还有就是显示：
Installing the VMware Tools package will greatly enhance graphics and mouse performance in your virtual machine.
WARNING: You cannot install the VMware Tools package until the guest operating system is running. If your guest operating system is not running, choose Cancel and install the VMware Tools package later.


莫明其妙，最终还是安装成功了。。总结一下：
5。5。1的Tool已经安装好了，原因有很多
1。虚拟机的服务未开（我关了）
2。用rpm -rph /mnt/cdrom/VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.i386.rpm 即可安装
3。最后要重起后输入 vmware-config-tools.pl(开启TOOL这最关键）

This has all to be done under root
1st step
=======
- copy the vmware-tools%gz% file (not the RPM) that comes with VMware Workstation to /tmp
- cd /tmp ; tar -xvzf vmware-tools%gz%
- cd vmware-tools-distrib ; ./vmware-install.pl (!!! look next line for this)
- when vmware-install.pl launches vmware-config-tools.pl say "no" to compile it for a new kernel
2nd step
=======
Download those 2 files to /tmp:

- cd /tmp
- tar -xvzf vmware-tools-any-update1.tar.gz
- cd vmware-tools-any-update1
- ./runme.pl (until you are asked again to compile vmware-config-tools for a new kernel)
- unzip vmware-config-tools.zip and copy the vmware-config-tools.pl to /usr/bin (respond "y" if you are asked to overwrite the file in /usr/bin)
3rd step
========
- cd /usr/bin
- ./vmware-config-tools.pl
- run and hopefully enjoy
